With tutoring centers across the US, Omega Learning® Center partners with 5-15 public and private schools per franchised territory and sees first-hand the challenges facing our schools, teachers, students, and communities. Today, students need to think more creatively, express themselves with confidence, and understand the real-world application of the math and reading concepts they are learning in school. Educational experts agree that our global competitive edge and ability to solve real-world problems will emerge from the proficiency of our students in developing these higher level skills. Rather than relying on simple memorization, Omega students build the vital critical-thinking skills needed to achieve success with long-term academic goals.
Through Omega’s software, our tutors can easily pull remediation curriculum by grade and proficiency. Although your student’s school curriculum provides the primary source of their tutoring curriculum, Omega’s supplemental curriculum, OutpAce® can be quickly accessed in eTutor. OutpAce® is aligned to national curriculum standards, which means our reading and math tutors can most efficient teaching resources to help your student succeed in the classroom. Omega Learning® Center believes this “different” way of teaching and learning is an inherent part of our mission statement… “to provide customized instruction that achieves each family’s educational goals.”
Omega’s entire system was created for tutoring session customization. Using the results of your assessments, your Omega tutor has the flexibility to determine the focus of each day’s instruction and provide a highly-customized tutoring experience! Your tutor will quickly get to know your student, how they learn most efficiently, and what they need to learn to be successful in school. Also, to align our instruction with your school, Omega tutors are able to implement national standard-aligned instructional resources in our OutpAce® curriculum and a variety of supplemental educational websites.
Tutors use each student’s learning style to help them select the most effective teaching resources. And since all students learn more efficiently through the use of multi-sensory instruction, Omega tutors also incorporate offline teaching resources from our center’s manipulative library to help solidify challenging academic concepts. Rather than relying on simple memorization, Omega students build the vital critical-thinking skills needed to achieve success with long and short-term academic goals.
